Hello Fashionistas,
Have you ever thought of having a personal stylist who can give a little suggestion about adding glam to your outfits? Well, we all have a stylist in us who knows our style and comfort zone but once in a while, I guess we don’t mind suggestions and a box of clothes at our doorstep to try right? If you have a time crunch or don’t like shopping but still want to wear trending styles then the personalized clothing services are the best bet. There are few such companies in the US, Stitch Fix is one among them I tried recently.
Few months back I came to know about Stitch Fix mainly because of social media. I was apprehensive thinking it might cost me a fortune. But once I read about the company ringing the bell in NASDAQ and its CEO I was determined to try it, I am partial to young woman entrepreneur you see…
Stitch fix sends you few outfits and accessories based on your profile. The more details you give about your style, the perfect style will be delivered. You can keep what you like and can return others in three days. First stitch box can be a hit or miss but you can always revise your profile and give feedback for a better fix. What’s more interesting is we can also choose a budget for each item and can also select high-end brands. Style box also includes a note suggesting how to style the outfits and accessories. You can schedule to receive this box more frequently or try only once.
When I opened the box I was impressed by the colors and material. Here is the list I received
- Marker Estee Skinny jean
- Alice blue Ruffle Sleeve Blouse
- French Grey Kelton Knit Dress
- Iris Semi Stone Pendant
- Lucky brand lace-up flats
Look1: Skinny Jean with Gray sweater and boots. I added a pop of color with a yellow crossbody bag.
Marker Estee Skinny jean in indigo color is from stitch fix which is super soft and most comfortable jeans I ever had.
Look2: Burgundy color ruffle blouse paired with white pant, accessorized with Iris Semi berry pendant chain and nude silhouettes.
Alice blue Ruffle Sleeve Blouse in burgundy color, it has that feminine look which you always see in my outfits. I accessorized with Iris Semi Stone Pendant I received in the stitch box too. Personally, I am not a person who likes to pair western wear with a gold color chain but I went ahead and gave it a shot which turned out pretty good. I think that’s the benefit of these styling services which makes us try those edge styles that gives an extra glam to the outfit.
Look 3: French Grey Kelton Knit Dress styled with a scarf and paired with the Lucky brand lace-up flats.
In the all the pieces I received these flats did burn a hole in my pocket ($69). When I first saw this dress I liked the color and floral print. As the material is super soft I thought it will cling to the skin and the neckline is too plain. But once I tried it with a scarf it looked cool.
Overall I liked my first fix just that few are a size bigger, I don’t mind that as I like to wear clothes which are airy. Hope you will give it a try to stitch fix. You can use below discount code for a $20 off on your fix.
