Hello everyone,

Hope you all are busy with Sankranti celebrations.  Sankranti festival which marks the start of the new season is celebrated in many parts of India with some variations and it is known by different names.  In south India, we usually celebrate with bonfires, offering prayers to sun god and cattle, colorful rangoli, Gollu (Doll Collection), fairs and of course lot of food varieties and new dresses.  Coming to dresses, in south India, we have a tradition to give Sarees or some kind of traditional dress as a gift to girls on special occasions. The Highlighter

Hello there,

I am back with an outfit that gives comfort as well as preserves cultural values,  Salwar suit. It is considered as a traditional dress in few parts of India.  When I am a kid, most of the married women are allowed to wear either Saree or Salwar suit.  Good that traditions are changing and women are allowed to wear what they like irrespective of the marital status.
