The Highlighter

Hello there,

I am back with an outfit that gives comfort as well as preserves cultural values,  Salwar suit. It is considered as a traditional dress in few parts of India.  When I am a kid, most of the married women are allowed to wear either Saree or Salwar suit.  Good that traditions are changing and women are allowed to wear what they like irrespective of the marital status. Now let’s talk about the highlighter.

Did you ever buy a Salwar suit just because of the Dupatta? Then our tastes match.  When I was a teenager most of the time I used to wear Salwar suits and I was so bored of them so when I have to buy Salwar suit I used to search for a dress that is different from the routine styles, either it might be collar neck or sleeves stitched in a different style or a dupatta that highlights the dress.

I think if you like the dupatta floating to the one side, then you can choose a dress with nice dupatta, even though the dress is not that impressive. The dupatta which I am wearing in this post was gifted by my cousin and when I first looked at it, the instant thought came to my mind is a black kurti, Maybe it is because black is one of my favorite color and I do feel that dark colors make you look a little slim that your usual weight. That’s it, here is what it looks like.

I feel every girl should have one black kurti to pair it with a nice duppata or a nice overcoat for a quick classy look. If you are looking for a nice dupatta for a traditional look consider the Banaras or Ikkat dupattas which are in trend now like in the below pic.
