The Versatile Dress

Hello there,

Finally after several years of procrastinating, I am here with my first blog. Want to know about what the versatile dress is? and why I am calling it versatile ?

One of my most favorite outfit is Saree, Not sure why it is my most favorite outfit,  May be because it is in my root or because of the style and elegant look it brings to anyone who wear it.  This 6 to 9 yard garment is considered as a traditional wear in most parts of India. All the elder ladies in my family used to wear only sarees 24 hours every single day. During my teenage when I had to wear a saree for the first time, I had no idea how to tie it nor had patience to wear it for long time and always used to think how my Mom wears only saree all the time, now after several years of practice I got better and love wearing it. Practice makes man perfect 🙂 .

There are many styles how you can wear it. I call it versatile because of the numerous way we can tie it and numerous ways you can style it. You can wear it not only in the usual south Indian style like the one in below pictures but what ever style you like to innovate it.

If you already wore the saree to an event and don’t want to repeat the same saree again,  just change the blouse, style of wearing it and jewelry .. Viola it will be a new dress 😛

For an Indian Festival Diwali, I choose this  pastel color net saree with collar blouse. i think the key for a perfect saree is a nice and perfectly fitted blouse.

And this is how it looks, I paired it with a choker, ear rings and simple bangles.
